Hope Grows in Dark Times
Woodcut
This woodcut reflects on growth in dark times.
We are living in times of a pandemic. We are living in a political, social, and economic disaster in a country where systemic racism is fueled every day by the ruling party.
We have witnessed and participated in massive demonstrations against police brutality and the continuous racial divide of this country. This needs to stop now as millions of people go to the streets. We will not tolerate this anymore and this is the time for change and for growth.
People are rising from the dark and growing tall, resisting a system that has tried to suppress them in the past.
Hope, growth and resistance!
